To me, the concentration of nitrates/nitrites in bacon is not enough of a reason to disuade me from eating it.Elatanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02179920382864380727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6380270641846028408.post-8021338915422502272011-05-19T14:26:27.043-07:002011-05-19T14:26:27.043-07:00Hi,

Ingesting this kind of poison is not a good choice, and especially not as a routine."

Thats just opinion and not fact and has nothing to do with Elaines book and hypothesis.

Nitrates DONT cause cancer, and fake FOOD does not poison you. Its your opinion that you suspect it does.rakshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02931737601462557324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6380270641846028408.post-32852969115081789902011-03-14T13:32:37.750-07:002011-03-14T13:32:37.750-07:00Hi Arden,

This does not mean that I think it is a good idea to consume those things, because I don't. As far as I'm concerned, all artificial sweeteners should be bottled with a skull and crossbones on them! After battling my way back to a reasonable facimile of health, there is no way I am going to throw it all away by drinking diet soda or chewing gum, etc.Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14774663130565063572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6380270641846028408.post-37532226624593656572011-03-12T09:19:38.451-08:002011-03-12T09:19:38.451-08:00I have wondered about those same things in the boo...I have wondered about those same things in the book. I think it's weird that aspartame and saccharine are acceptable but stevia is unacceptable. I do drink Zevia soda sometimes. Those sodas have a lot less ingredients than regular diet sodas.

I do eat bacon, but I make sure it is nitrate free, though I guess I've had it at a restaurant a few times.

I do not chew gum or eat candy.

I started the diet in 2000.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05238517879968677580noreply@blogger.com
